Physicists and Biologists Working Together

FACILITATING X-RAY BIOPHOTONICS

11th-14th April 2007 - Melbourne, Australia

We are currently planning our Annual Workshop which will be held from 11th to 14th April, 2007, with the theme: “Physicists and Biologists Working Together – Facilitating X-ray Biophotonics”.

The focus will be on the development of high resolution diffractive imaging of biological samples using synchrotron, high harmonic generation laser and X-ray free electron laser sources.

We anticipate over 100 physicists, chemists and biologists with related interests will be attending the workshop, which will be located in or near Melbourne, Australia. We hope to have up to 10 invited international speakers.

We are currently attempting to organize additional funding for the workshop which may enhance the size of the meeting. In the meantime, please put the dates in your diaries.

The meeting will feature:
  • International keynote speakers
  • Site tour of the Australian Synchrotron
  • Workshop dinner
  • Oral & poster presentation of recent research
Invited speakers
  • Professor Carolyn Larabell,Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, USA
