Erythrocyte Membrane Modification during Malaria Infection

With the aid of reverse genetics we try to understand the function and mechanism of protrusions on the surface of infected red blood cells. Different imaging techniques like fluorescence- , electron- and atomic force-microscopy will shed light on this process.
