Mentoring – Growing Tall Poppies (GTP) Program

CXS Student Mentors received official recognition for participation in the CXS Growing Tall Poppies Program, which is listed on their academic transcripts. The GTP program is a collaboration between CXS and Santa Maria College Northcote, and is supported by the Catholic Education Office Melbourne and CXS. The program’s goal is to promote questioning and enquiry and create enduring knowledge and understanding of science for secondary school students. Each Melbourne-based program hosts groups of six highly motivated students to work for a period of one week with scientists on current CXS research projects.
