  • IMC-16: 16th International Microscopy Conference (Sapporo, Japan, 3-8 September 2006). The 16th International Microscopy Congress (IMC16) is one of the series of microscopy congresses, which have been held every four years under the auspices of the International Federation of Societies for Microscopy (IFSM). The first meeting was held in Delft, Netherlands, in 1949 as the International Congress on Electron Microscopy (ICEM). The last ICEM-15 in Durban, South Africa, in 2002 was such a great success that more than 1000 delegates have participated during the 5 days of the congress.
